Body of Knowledge for the Generalist OHS Professional

Hi Folks,

some of you may be aware of a project funded by WorkSafe Victoria,  the development and implementation of the "Body of Knowledge for the Generalist OHS Professional".  To this end I am wondering what people in this forum see as the key knowledge that safety professionals need.  If you want to participate in this project there will be a workshop on August 18, here in Canberra.  You can register through the SIA website or alternatively contact me for further details.  If you just want to provide input throught this forum that is also OK.  Any feedback I recieve I will take it to the workshop.

What a fabulous idea, Glenda.

Thanks for the Post. Sadly, I will not be able to attend as I will be back in my beloved Yorkshire. Home of Captain Cook and Yorkshire OHS Law in terms of all an OHS Professional has to remember on a daily basis - here are a few of my mantras:

1. There's nowt so queer as folk

2. Common sense ain't common.

3. Stupid is forever, ignorance can be fixed.

and finally...

4. When all's said and done, there's a lot said and not much done!
Hi Valerie, thanks for the post. Enjoy Yorkshire see you when you get back
